Montgó Chorale returned to the Fisherman´s Church in Javea port for the 14th time and the church was packed. They listened attentively to the varied programme which included "Mary, did you know?", an unusual arrangement called "Antiphonal Deck the Hall" and a few of our favourite festive offerings e.g. "Breath of Heaven" and "Christmas Sanctus".
The collection in aid of Caritas, Javea raised more than 1600€ for this wonderful cause.

"The acapella sections were very effective"
"It was amazing" of "There are some men"
"Your best concert yet"
"I really enjoyed the concert"
These were just some of the positive comments from the audience as they left the church. We had been looking forward to hearing the works in the church and its acoustics didn't let us down.
Our own Aileen & Kirsty played the haunting "Ashoken Farewell" and both audience and choir members were appreciative of this beautiful violin and piano duet.

Christmas Charity Concert 2024
The Fishermen's church was packed for Montgo Chorale's traditional Christmas Concert in aid of Caritas.
In addition to the traditional carols which included "Once in royal David's city" and "Hark the herald angels sing", we sang a variety of festive works.
A member of the audience said that she had cried when we sang "Christmas Lullaby". Others highlighted "Fum Fum Fum" and "March of the Kings."
Of special note was the duet between our own Kirsty Glen and Renel (on piano & violin respectively.)
